This week offered large accomplishments.
Mechanical:
We finished the elevator and attached it to Elon. It extends to approximately 10ft without the carriage.
Currently, we are working on riveting electrical board to the sides of the frame to allow for the attachment of the components and wires. We are also extending the length of the wires to allow for a greater reach to the various components that will be on the intake arms.
Programming:
The Programming team have accomplished many feats this week.
They planned the layout for the buttons on the controller and programmed them. They are currently programming the elevator. There are 7 positions (4 ball pos. & 3 hatch pos.) that the elevator needs to go to automatically with a push of a button. Once the robot is wired and moving, we can test the height of the elevator with our encoder ticks. That information will then be programmed into the buttons.
Scouting:
Our scout has created a questions spreadsheet for our two competitions. Each spreadsheet contains all the teams that will be attending the Kettering 2 (March 8-9) and Livonia (April 5-6) competitions. The questions will give our team important information on who to pick once we get to alliance selection.
Almost There!!!
We have only a week and two days until we have to bag the robot. We are very close to having the robot fully build, wired, and running. Hopefully we can spend next Saturday driving!
Thank you for your continued support!
