As the final moments draw near, we finish this week off strong.
Mechanical:
This week we have begun reassembling the robot. We attached the arms to the carriage, and are currently adjusting them to allow for better control of the up and down motions as well as keeping them in the parameters of the bot when raised. We have replaced the springs a few times as well.
Today the bumpers are finishing being built and assembled. The wooden frame is complete and all that is left is the foam bumpers and covers.
Programming:
Programming has gone through many revisions in an attempt to fix the code. after re-organizing the code, a few complications arose. A fellow programmer came to our aid and helped fix our code as well as point out some changes that could be made. We then began to rebuild the code and soon found that some of our original code had begun to work, making things much easier. As we continue to work with the code we are continuing to make new discoveries each second. It's a learning experience for all of us.
As the next few days are to progress, we hope to finish up the final touches on the robot before February 19th, "Bag Day". The days will be tiresome, but worthwhile.
